Easy Turkey Chili
Serves 4 with leftovers Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking
oil
1 bell pepper (diced)
1 small onion (diced)
2 pounds lean ground turkey
1 can diced tomatoes (30 oz)
1 jar spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
1 can chili beans (optional 15 oz)
1/2 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
optional toppings (cheese, sour
cream, etc)
Instructions
In a large pot, sauté, peppers and
onions in 1 tablespoon of olive oil until soft. Set aside.
In the same pot, cook the ground
turkey and spices until cooked through.
Add in other ingredients and
reserved onion and peppers and simmer on low for at least 15 minutes. Serve
with your favorite toppings – shredded cheese, sour cream, tortillas chips,
etc.
